Course methodology
Our course is designed to ensure that students enjoy their Spanish classes as much as they enjoy the rest of the course program.
Classroom activities are therefore varied and where possible involve tasks or games that make the learning process interesting and fun.
The aim of the course is to develop the students language skills in all areas but the emphasis is on developing speaking and comprehension skills, so there are a lot of practical activities that involve a great deal of interaction. As we have students from very many nationalities, it is relatively easy to ensure that everyone uses Spanish to communicate.
We also try to ensure that students get the most out of their visits to places of interest so some class time is devoted to project work focused on the social program activities.
Variety of Courses:
Each course is divided into 3 levels: Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced. You will be placed in the right level according to your knowledge of Spanish. You decide the length of the course.

Private Immersion Program
The Private Immersion Program is the most flexible program. It features daily one-on-one instruction. Most students choose to study Monday though Friday, however the Private Immersion Program also allows students to design their own itinerary; including weekends. Students also may choose to study the days that best meet their schedule. Weekend and daily Private Immersion Program courses are offered throughout the year.
A program that includes four hours of core curriculum followed by two hours of afternoon activities is recommended. However, it is the student who ultimately decides how the day is structured and what is studied. Some students may prefer a more rigid program of exercises and drills while others elect to focus strictly on conversation.
A specialized academic agenda incorporating terminology specific to a field of interest can also be implemented. Individual instruction means students may choose to go as rapidly or slowly as they desire.
With the individual attention provided by a private class, this means faster earning for the student. These classes can be adapted to fit the student’s individual needs, such as class-times and skill level.
Spanish Groups Programs
At Centro Mexicano we welcome teachers and other who are interested in coming to Centro Mexicano and bring a group with them. It could be a group of children, students in high school, college, teachers, or professional adults representing a variety of disciplines.

Class instruction is limited to a maximum of eight students. The small group size assures individual participation and allows for personal attention from the instructor.
Classes meet Monday through Friday throughout the year.
Students in the Small Group Immersion Program can study for as short a time as a single week or take courses for 5 and 10 weeks at discount rates. The Centro Mexicano is flexible in accommodating your busy schedule.
Class schedules are flexible. We offer diverse programs. Students may also choose to supplement their group classes with additional private lessons.
Our Spanish classes usually consist of 3 to 8 students. This intimate class size helps us tailor our programs to your specific needs and to adapt our teaching methodology to your learning style.
You will be placed in classes to your Spanish proficiency level, which is determined by a written test and oral evaluation exam before starting your course. Your level will be confirmed by your instructor based on your performance during the class.
Throughout your course your progress will be assessed daily by your teacher and our Academic Director. Every day instructors hand in a progress report for each student in the class. Conversation
(Registered students only) A major obstacle to learning any language is the lack of contact with native speakers outside of the classroom. For this reason, we offer a free two-hour conversation session each week for students from both our Spanish and our English classes. This exchange serves as a great way to bridge the gap between our communities and helps to foster inter-cultural friendships.
About Spanish Conversation Club
For people around the world who want to share language and culture through conversation. Each week small groups of learners and native speakers join together in verbal conversations to share, laugh and learn about a shared weekly theme.
It’s totally free. It’s fun. And it works! Join us and see for yourself!
